Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers across relevant product categories.
- Source products, components, materials, and services based on company requirements.
- Request and compare quotations from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines, warranties, and other commercial terms.
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, reliability, lead time, and service capabilities.
- Coordinate with suppliers for product availability, order placement, dispatch, and delivery.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, vendor management, or sourcing. Freshers with relevant skills may also apply.
- Strong vendor sourcing and supplier evaluation skills and good negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills to ensure timely procurement and deliveries.
- Good understanding of costing, margins, payment terms, and purchase processes.
- Ability to research and identify new suppliers and alternative sourcing options.
