Mendix Developer

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mendix Developer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore.In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications using the Mendix low-code platform.You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and other developers to translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.Your expertise in the Mendix platform will be crucial in delivering innovative and efficient applications that meet our business needs.Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable business applications using the Mendix low-code platform and Mendix Studio Pro.- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into clear and concise functional and technical specifications.- Create and maintain Mendix data models, including entities, attributes, and associations, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.- Develop user-friendly and responsive user interfaces (UIs) and user experiences (UXs) using Mendix's page editor, widgets, and layout options.- Implement complex business logic and workflows using Mendix Microflows and Nanoflows, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.- Develop and consume REST and SOAP web services to integrate Mendix applications with external systems, databases, and APIs.- Implement security and access controls within Mendix applications based on user roles and permissions.- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.- Conduct thorough testing of developed applications, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure quality and functionality.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in Mendix applications.- Collaborate effectively with other developers, architects, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.- Stay up-to-date with the latest features, functionalities, and best practices of the Mendix platform.- Optimize Mendix applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and best practices.- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for developed applications.Technical Skills : - Mendix Platform : Extensive hands-on experience (5-7 years) in developing applications using the Mendix low-code platform and Mendix Studio Pro.- Mendix Modeler : Deep proficiency in using the Mendix Modeler for building data models, microflows, nanoflows, pages, and other application components.- Microflows and Nanoflows : Strong understanding and proven experience in designing and implementing complex business logic and integrations using Mendix Microflows and Nanoflows.- Data Modeling : Solid experience in designing and implementing relational data models within the Mendix platform, including understanding of entity relationships and data constraints.- UI/UX Development : Demonstrated ability to create user-friendly, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces using Mendix's layout editor, widgets, themes, and styling options.- Integration : Proven experience in integrating Mendix applications with external systems using RESTful and SOAP web services, as well as utilizing Mendix's built-in integration capabilities (e.g., XML and JSON mappings).- Security : Solid understanding of Mendix security concepts, including user roles, security constraints, and best practices for securing Mendix applications.- Database Knowledge : Basic understanding of relational database concepts and familiarity with SQL for data querying and analysis (beneficial).- Version Control : Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, and utilizing the Mendix Team Server for collaborative development.- Agile Methodologies : Familiarity with and experience working in Agile development environments (e.g., Scrum).Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.- 5-7 years of professional experience as a Mendix Developer, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered Mendix applications.- Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical designs within the Mendix platform.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.- A strong passion for low-code development and continuous learning.Bonus Points : - Mendix certifications (e.g., Mendix Certified Associate Developer, Mendix Certified Advanced Developer).- Experience with Mendix Native Mobile development.- Knowledge of Java or other programming languages for developing custom widgets or advanced integrations within Mendix.- Experience with cloud deployment of Mendix applications on platforms like Mendix Cloud, AWS, or Azure.- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for Mendix applications.- Experience with testing frameworks within the Mendix ecosystem (ref:hirist.tech)
