Application Modernization Lead - .Net/C#

Job Description : Role details : Application Modernization LeadApplication Modernization Responsibilities :Modernization Planning : - Assess legacy applications and recommend modernization approaches.- Create modernization roadmaps aligned with business objectives.- Identify technical debt and remediation strategies.Cloud Migration : - Lead migration of applications from On-Premises to Azure.- Design cloud-ready architectures.- Work with DevOps and Infrastructure teams during migration activities.Technology Modernization : - Drive VB.NET to C# modernization initiatives.- Lead .NET Framework to .NET Core/.NET 8+ upgrades.- Modernize SQL Server platforms and databases.- Perform Angular version upgrades and optimization.- Drive API modernization initiatives.- Modernize authentication and security frameworks.- Lead reporting platform modernization (SSRS/PBIRS/Power BI).Solution Design : - Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.- Conduct architecture and code reviews.- Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of solutions.Job Requirements : As a Software Engineer you are expected to take on complex problems and solve them from start to end. You will be responsible for : - Produce high-quality, efficient, coding standards-compliant, thoroughly tested application code and modules.- Good understanding and or experience with API integration to enable automation across different systems.- Represent the team and be able to speak to the architecture and the technology used to people outside of their team.- Able to come up to speed on a new technology quickly and help others learn.- Work in an agile environment to design, develop, and maintain multiple web-based applications running on-premise and in the cloud.- Provide architectural guidance, input, and feedback for new applications and major enhancements of existing applications.- Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve application defects in both test and production environments.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and QA, to deliver high-quality solutions.- Design and implement reusable UI components, services, and modules using best practices.- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design patterns.- Participate in code reviews, ensuring that code meets our coding standards and is maintainable.- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with the QA team to ensure timely resolution.- Stay up to date with the latest versions, features, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our development processes.- Contribute to the technical direction of our team, recommending new technologies, tools, and processes that align with our business goals.- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues.- Eager to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies in a rapidly evolving business.- We use Azure DevOps for streamlined project management and continuous integration/deployment processes.
