Data Scientist - Machine Learning

Roles & Responsibilities:- Partner with Product teams to identify high-impact Machine Learning opportunities aligned with key business metrics.- Collect, clean, and transform large structured and unstructured datasets to build reliable features and scalable data pipelines.- Design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning models for recommendation systems, personalization, pricing optimization, fraud detection, propensity modeling, and user ranking.- Build and optimize NLP solutions including text classification, text generation, embeddings, similarity models, user profiling, and feature extraction from unstructured data.- Collaborate with Engineering teams to productionize ML models using REST APIs, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.- Design and execute A/B experiments to evaluate model performance and business impact.- Monitor model performance, data quality, model drift, and business KPIs, implementing continuous improvements where required.- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.Ideal Candidate:- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or AI Engineer.- Strong programming expertise in Python with hands-on implementation of classical Machine Learning algorithms such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting.- Practical experience building and deploying Deep Learning models using TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.- Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Recommendation Systems, Computer Vision/Image Processing, Fraud & Risk Detection, Pricing Optimization, or Propensity Modeling.- Strong understanding of NLP, including text classification, text generation, embeddings, similarity search, user profiling, and feature extraction from unstructured text.- Experience deploying ML models into production using REST APIs, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.- Experience working in a product-based company is mandatory.- Candidates from banking, financial services, or fintech organizations will not be considered.- Candidates must currently be based in Mumbai or be native to Mumbai.Perks & Benefits:- Work on high-impact AI and Machine Learning products that directly influence business growth and customer experience.- Solve challenging problems across personalization, recommendation engines, NLP, fraud detection, and predictive analytics.- Collaborate with experienced Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams in a fast-paced product environment.- Gain exposure to modern AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, and large-scale production systems.- Enjoy strong learning opportunities, end-to-end ownership, and excellent career growth.
