Tanisha Systems - Mainframe Administrator - CICS

Role & responsibilities:Role: CICS Admin/ CICS ArchitectPreferred candidate profile:CICS Installation, Upgrades & Architecture:- CICS TS & Tooling: Hands-on experience upgrading, installing, and maintaining CICS Transaction Servers (CICS TS), CICS PA (Performance Analyzer), and third-party vendor products like CAFC.- Modern Mainframe Integration: Experience with zCEE (z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition), setting up JVM Servers, and managing Angel Started Tasks to support modern Java/web applications on the mainframe.- CICS Topology: A deep understanding of CICS architectures, including CICSPlex System Manager (CPSM), CMAS, MRO (Multi-Region Operation), and Non-MRO environments.2. Performance Tuning & System Monitoring:- Diagnostics & Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in mainframe monitoring suites such as CA SYSVIEW, IBM OMEGAMON, or MainView, as well as Fault Analyzer for dump analysis.- Performance Optimization: Ability to identify system bottlenecks, interpret Assembler output listings, and use CICS PA to tune the environment for optimal operational targets.3. Networking, Connectivity & Security:- Cross-Platform Integration: Understanding connectivity from CICS to off-host systems like IBM DataPower, WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and external Java applications.- Mainframe Networking: Working knowledge of System z communications and SNA (Systems Network Architecture) concepts.- Security: Hands-on experience with CICS SSL setup and security troubleshooting.4. Core Mainframe Operations:- JCL Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of z/OS Job Control Language (JCL) for system administration and batch job management.- Disaster Recovery: Ability to create, maintain, and execute documentation for DR (Disaster Recovery) operational processes.5. ITIL & Production Support:- ITSM Tools: Experience using ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for managing incidents, problems, and change requests.- SLA & Shift Flexibility: Proven ability to resolve issues within strict SLAs and a willingness to work on a 24/7 rotational basis, including planned weekend support for change implementations.
