Senior Network Engineer Role Overview The Senior Network Engineer will design, support, and troubleshoot high‑level network infrastructures across Alkami’s cloud, corporate, and customer environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership of complex issues, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while ensuring smooth operation of a growing network ecosystem. 🔹 MUST‑HAVE SKILLS (Critical Requirements) These four skills are mandatory for this role: Network Automation – Hands‑on experience automating network tasks, scripting, and using automation frameworks. AWS Experience – Strong understanding of AWS networking, VPCs, routing, cloud connectivity, and security. Load Balancers – Deep experience configuring and troubleshooting load balancers (F5, ELB/ALB/NLB, etc.). Firewalls – Strong hands‑on expertise with firewall technologies, policies, rule sets, and security best practices. Key Responsibilities Provide network support for Alkami’s cloud, corporate, and customer environments. Work directly with customers to support networking products and solutions. Own troubleshooting from start to resolution using log analysis and packet captures. Monitor infrastructure performance and ensure smooth operation. Plan and perform upgrades, patching, and compliance remediation. Install and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers. Maintain and administer monitoring systems and troubleshooting tools. Create and maintain logical/physical network diagrams and documentation. Review and perform IT system maintenance (backups, upgrades, patching). Mentor junior Network Engineers. Provide on‑call support as per company policies.
