Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation-Focused)

Location: Remote / India (Flexible) Experience: 3–5 years About the Role We’re looking for a QA Engineer with a strong foundation in manual testing and hands-on experience in automation using modern tools like Cypress, Playwright, and Jest. You’ll play a key role in improving product quality by building reliable automated test suites while continuing to ensure thorough manual validation where needed. Responsibilities Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress / Playwright Contribute to unit/integration testing using Jest in collaboration with developers Perform manual exploratory and regression testing when required Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test strategies Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps Work closely with developers to ensure issues are resolved quickly Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution speed Participate in code reviews for test automation Advocate for quality across the development lifecycle Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in QA / Software Testing Hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Playwright Experience with Jest (unit/integration testing) Solid understanding of web application testing Experience with API testing (Postman or similar tools) Familiarity with JavaScript / TypeScript Strong understanding of test design techniques Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Nice to Have Experience setting up automation frameworks from scratch Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) Experience testing AI-driven or data-heavy applications
