Job Title: Backend Engineer Intern

• Location: Remote / Hybrid (Bengaluru, India)
• Duration: 3–6 months (with potential for full-time conversion)

Role Overview:

• We are looking for a passionate Backend Engineer Intern who wants to learn by building. You will work directly with our Lead Engineer to develop APIs, integrate third-party services, and maintain databases. This is a hands-on, mentorship-heavy role with real-world impact.

• Payments: Easebuzz, Razorpay, PhonePe
• Analytics: GA4, Clarity, Firebase, Vexo
• AI/Data: Multi-agent systems, CV/ViT models (for content moderation)

What You'll Do:

• Build APIs for user listing, product discovery, and transactions.
• Integrate OTP-based login using SMS providers (MTalkz/Gupshup).
• Work with PostgreSQL & Redis – write queries, manage schemas, implement caching.
• Assist in search optimization using Elasticsearch/OpenSearch/Weaviate.
• Learn observability – set up logging with EFK and error tracking with Sentry.
• Collaborate on payments – integrate Razorpay/PhonePe/Easebuzz.
• Support AI pipelines – help with multi-agent systems and content moderation (CV/ViT).
• Document everything – APIs, setup guides, learnings.

What We're Looking For:

Must-Have:

• Pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's in CS/IT related field.
• Strong grasp of Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI experience is a plus; Litestar interest is welcome).
• Basic understanding of SQL
• Know what REST APIs are and have built at least one.
• Hunger to learn, ask questions, and ship quickly.
• Self-discipline to work in a remote/flexible setup.

Good to Have:

• Familiarity with Redis, Elasticsearch, or any search engine.
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, or GCP).
• Interest in AI/ML (even academic projects).
• A GitHub profile with some backend code (college projects count).
