Job Title : SAP MM-CPE Functional Consultant (Commodity Pricing Engine)Location : Chennai (Hybrid Permanent Role)Experience Required : 4+ Years in IT (Minimum 3+ Years in Active SAP Configuration & Development)Notice Period : Immediate to 15 Days MaxEducation Required : Bachelor's DegreeJob Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled SAP MM-CPE Functional Consultant to design, configure, and implement robust procurement and commodity pricing solutions. In this role, you will focus on the end-to-end delivery of SAP Materials Management (MM) processes seamlessly integrated with the SAP Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE) to bridge the gap between volatile commodity market purchasing requirements and SAP technology.The ideal candidate is an engineering practitioner who possesses hands-on expertise in configuring complex commodity pricing formulas based on market indexes (such as LME, Platts, or CBOT). You will be responsible for setting up Derivative Contract Specifications (DCS), optimizing market data feeds, driving Fit-Gap analyses, authoring clear Functional Specifications (RICEFW), and executing end-to-end testing lifecycles across modern SAP S/4HANA systems.Key Responsibilities :- CPE Formula Configuration : Design, configure, and maintain SAP CPE formulas, specific pricing terms, evaluation rules, and custom condition pricing procedures to support complex commodity purchasing.- Market Data Architecture : Configure Derivative Contract Specifications (DCS), Market Identifier Codes (MIC), and quotation metadata while managing automated exchange rate integrations and market data feeds.- MM Integration & Sourcing : Setup MM pricing schemas, condition types, and access sequences. Manage core master data structures across S/4HANA, including Material Masters, Business Partners (Vendor Master), and Source Lists.- Process Sprints & Fit-Gap : Partner with procurement and supply chain units to map business processes, conduct rigorous Fit-Gap analyses, and fiercely advocate for standard SAP best practices over custom code.- RICEFW Development : Author highly detailed Functional Specifications for custom developments, interfaces, reports, and extensions. Collaborate closely with ABAP developers to test custom business logic.- Testing Lifecycle Execution : Define test strategies, prepare scenarios, and execute Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).- Hypercare & Production Support : Troubleshoot complex pricing logic breakdowns, procurement system bugs, integration bottlenecks, and deliver comprehensive user documentation to key business stakeholders.Skills & Qualifications :Required Technical DNA :- Platform Specialization : Deep functional consulting and configuration experience within the SAP Materials Management (MM) and Commodity Pricing Engine (CPE) modules.- S/4HANA Environment : Proven hands-on delivery track record in SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, or live production support environments.- Core Logistics Configuration : Strong configuration knowledge in purchasing, index pricing schemas, release procedures, movement types, and FI-MM integration.- Tenure : 5+ years of total IT experience, with at least 3 years spent in active SAP functional product development.Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :- Modern Interface Adaptability : Direct working knowledge of SAP Fiori applications tailored for procurement and inventory analytics.- Agile Delivery : Experience delivering projects within Agile project delivery frameworks.- Professional Certification : Professional certification in SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement or Commodity Management.
