Abeyaantrix - Information Security Specialist - SOC/EDR/NDR

Main Duties : - Manage the corporate EDR security platform Sophos.- Ensure overall health and performance of tools and devices.- Maintain device compliance.- Prepare and share monthly security reports and dashboards.- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Perform API integrations between platforms tools (NDR, EDR, SIEM).- Create and manage Power Automate/Azure logic app flows for SOC and SIEM use cases.- Basic system management.- Collaborate with SOC team to improve process efficiency through automation.Area of Responsibility : - Own the stability, availability, and performance of Sophos and other security tool environments in conformity to the SLA.- Lead automation initiatives to improve SOC efficiency and reduce manual effort using APIs and workflows.- Responsible for accurate reporting, data quality, and documentation standards.Work Experience : - 4-6 years of experience in EDR Operations and Automation.- Hands-on experience with Sophos or other EDR tools.- Experience in automation, scripting (mainly PowerShell), and integration.- Knowledge in alert monitoring and incident response.Qualifications : Education Required : - Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology or any equivalent degree in Science & Technology Branch.- EDR certifications are of advantage.- IT Security education is of advantage.Areas of Expertise : - Endpoint security and Sophos tools.- PowerShell scripting and automation.- Microsoft Power Automate or Azure Logic App.- Azure DevOps or similar tool understanding.- API integration (REST APIs).- Basic Linux system usage.- Security monitoring and alert handling or other SOC experience.Methodological Skills : - Understands how to proceed systematically/ methodically.- Independent thinking capability.- Is skilled in process-oriented thinking, possesses conceptual skills and the ability to think analytically.- Has the ability to quickly understand the requirements of the users / application managers and analyze the issues / problems.- Good in documentation to maintain the knowledge base for future reference.- Know-how to build up and conduct training instructions.Personal Qualities : - Customer oriented approach.- Problem solving skills.- Good English communication.- Eager to learn and work on a personal development path with a positive attitude.- Friendly and enthusiastic; able to take up new challenges and new responsibilities.- Flexible to work overtime in case of crisis or off-business-hours maintenance.- Ready to work with multi-cultural and multi-national environment.- Works well in a team and communicates effectively.- Flexible to travel.
