About The Role:Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB) is the leading innovator in low-power wireless connectivity, building embedded technology that connects devices and improves lives. We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop low-level firmware and platform software for next-generation SoCs/ASICs. You will work across the product lifecycle, from pre-silicon enablement to post-silicon bring-up, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality embedded software.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for SoCs/ASICs.- Develop bootloaders, BSPs, device drivers, and Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL).- Develop pre-silicon firmware for simulation, emulation, and FPGA platforms.- Support silicon bring-up, board bring-up, hardware validation, debugging, and production enablement.- Develop and optimize firmware for performance, power, memory, and reliability.- Debug hardware/software issues using JTAG, GDB, Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.- Collaborate with hardware, validation, verification, and architecture teams.- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation.- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to subsystem development.- Utilize AI-powered tools to improve development productivity and documentation.Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.- 610+ years of embedded firmware/software development experience.- Strong programming skills in Embedded C and Python.- Experience with bootloaders, BSPs, device drivers, HAL, and RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr).- Strong debugging skills using JTAG, GDB, Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.- Experience with silicon/board bring-up and hardware-software integration.- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications :- Experience with simulation, emulation, or FPGA-based development.- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and AI-powered development tools.- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) powered tools and technologies used to enhance productivity, analysis, and decision-making.
