Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development , including strong hands-on experience in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and SAP S/4HANA .

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in modern ABAP development, CDS Views, OData services, and RAP-based application development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP solutions in an S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and ABAP on HANA .
• Design and develop applications using SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) .
• Develop and implement CDS Views and CDS-based data models.
• Create and maintain RAP Behavior Definitions and Behavior Implementations .
• Develop Service Definitions and Service Bindings for exposing business services.
• Develop and consume OData services , preferably OData V4.
• Work on both Managed and Unmanaged RAP scenarios.
• Develop applications and services for SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Work with Fiori Elements and support integration with RAP-based backend services.
• Perform technical analysis, development, unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants and other technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and provide technical support.
• Optimize existing ABAP programs and ensure efficient application performance.
• Follow SAP development standards and best practices.
• Support technical documentation, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development .
• Strong experience in SAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) .
• Strong knowledge of ABAP on HANA .
• Hands-on experience with:
• CDS Views
• CDS Annotations
• Behavior Definitions
• Behavior Implementations
• Service Definitions
• Service Bindings
• OData Services
• Managed and Unmanaged RAP
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) .
• Good experience in SAP S/4HANA development.
• Experience with Fiori Elements is preferred.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of SAP development and integration concepts.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with ABAP Cloud .
• Exposure to SAP BTP .
• Knowledge of SAP CAP is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 .
• Understanding of Clean Core and SAP extensibility principles .
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
