Role : DATABASE ENGINEERING LEADLocation : Kochi, KeralaWork Mode : OnsiteEmployment Type : Permanent | Full-TimeExperience : 10 - 15 YearsIndustry : IT & SoftwareWe are hiring for a Database Engineering Lead on behalf of a global software solutions provider headquartered in Kochi.We're looking for an experienced database professional who can take ownership of enterprise database administration, production support, performance engineering, high availability, security, migration, and disaster recovery.Key Responsibilities : - Administer, monitor, maintain & optimize enterprise databases- Manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and OLTP workloads- Drive database performance tuning, query optimization & indexing- Handle database migration, upgrades, patching & cutover activities- Ensure backup, recovery, replication & disaster-recovery readiness- Troubleshoot complex production issues and conduct RCA- Implement database security, auditing, access management & encryption- Build database monitoring, automation & capacity-planning practices- Collaborate with application, development, infrastructure & production teams- Provide technical guidance for critical, high-availability production systemsMust-Have Skills : - Database Administration & Management- Microsoft SQL Server & Always On Availability Groups- OLTP & high-volume production environments- Database Performance Tuning- Query Optimization & Indexing- Backup & Recovery- Replication & High Availability- Database Security & Access Management- Database Migration & Upgrades- Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL- Linux Administration- Monitoring & Automation- Strong Production Troubleshooting & RCAQualification : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
