About the job

Daxta Labs is looking for a 'Video Editor-cum-Graphic Designer' who is not just a production resource, but a creative thinker. The ideal candidate understands why a piece of content works not simply how to make it look good. You will work across multiple client accounts, understand each brand's personality and objectives, study competitors and current social trends, and translate strategy into strong visual communication across reels, carousels, static posts, campaign creatives, hoardings, and other digital/offline design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Edit high-quality Instagram Reels, short-form videos, ads, event videos, talking-head content and other social-first formats.
2. Convert raw footage, scripts, concepts and briefs into engaging, platform-appropriate videos with strong pacing, hooks, transitions, typography, sound design and visual storytelling.
3. Understand social media strategy and create content that serves a purpose reach, engagement, brand building, lead generation or conversion.
4. Study competitors, category leaders and current social trends to identify formats, creative patterns and communication opportunities.
5. Develop visual communication for multiple clients across different industries while maintaining each brand's distinct identity.
6. Design carousels, static posts, stories, thumbnails, campaign creatives and other social media assets.
7. Create marketing collateral such as hoardings, posters, brochures, invitations, presentations, banners and other brand communication when required.
8. Work closely with social media managers, copywriters, strategists and account managers to interpret briefs and improve creative output.
9. Take ownership of timelines, revisions and final delivery while maintaining consistency and quality across client accounts.
10. Stay updated with editing techniques, design trends, platform formats, AI-assisted creative tools and emerging social media content styles.

1. Strong video editing skills with a good understanding of short-form/social-first content.

2. Good graphic design fundamentals: typography, hierarchy, composition, spacing, colour and visual balance.

3. A strong visual eye and the ability to understand what makes content attention-grabbing.

4. Ability to understand a brief and think beyond the brief.

5. Commercial awareness: understands that creative should support a business objective, not just look attractive.

6. Comfortable working on multiple brands and switching between different visual identities.

7. Good understanding of Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form content formats.

8. Strong attention to detail and willingness to take feedback and iterate quickly.

9. Ability to manage deadlines and deliver consistently in a fast-paced agency environment.
