Role : Java Technical Architect Full StackLocation: Hyderabad.Cotiviti Hyderabad is looking for a Java Technical Architect for the Payment Line of Business with several product streams, transitioning a Java/Oracle based application suite to a Spring Boot and Angular based modern application suite.The purpose of this position is to provide System/Application Architecture, technical leadership, and guidance to multiple teams and work independently to build and integrate robust, fault-tolerant backend services and angular frontend for information processing requirements to payment accuracy products. This includes collaboration in requirements definition, building System/Application architecture, prototyping, design, coding, testing, and deployment.Person in this position would exhibit the following behaviors:- Provides Technical Leadership and guides the multiple teams as needed.- Can handle multiple priorities and initiatives in parallel.- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all teams.- Provides Technical documentation and proactively shares ideas and information, assists colleagues as needed.- Takes pride and leads by example in the achievement of team objectives.- Has credibility with peers and senior managers.- Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.- Keeps pace with change and acquires new knowledge/skills as the business evolves.- Handles confidential information with sensitivity.- Constantly improves domain knowledge and applies to the project.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Should be able to define and develop System/Application Architecture for the multiple projects.- Come up with Architectural Roadmap for existing applications and new applications.- Define Architectural Runway items while actively participating in PI Planning and Feature refinements.- Define Roadmap for technology upgrades for existing tech stack. Keep track of EOL for tech stack in current environments and come up with migration or upgrade roadmaps.- Should have good knowledge regarding Security, Networking, and Hardware to define System architecture.- Constantly look out for opportunities to improve performance, scalability, maintainability, robustness, and quality of applications with better and new technology solutions, new architecture/design, design patterns, and implement best practices across the development teams.- Drive or actively participate in Developer COPs across the teams and establish a platform for teams to share knowledge and innovations.- Should be able to Architect and Lead the design and develop complex systems using design patterns and implement software, data solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and charts. Behaviour driven and Test driven development (BDD/TDD) would be preferred.- Capable to drive and lead the architecture/design discussions and actively participate with Technical Product Owners, Product Managers, Scrum Master, Release Train Engineers, agile teams, and operations teams to define technical features/initiatives for each Program Increment.- Collaborates closely with other Architects, Technical Leads, Delivery Managers/Leads, or other Senior Leaders/resources located at onshore/offshore/remote in driving technology initiatives, define and ensure the completeness with attention to detail and accuracy of system/technical requirements and non-functional requirements (NFRs).- Partner with Unix, Windows, Network, Storage, Security, IT, and other Infrastructure teams to define and drive the System Architecture.- Take ownership on Technical Features and drives the implementation by providing technical guidance and mentoring team with best practices.- Identifies and resolves dependencies and risks involved in completing the features upfront and shares proactively.- Should be able to work with ambiguous, high level requirements, unknowns, and expect the unexpected as needed.- Participates proactively/drives technical working groups across the LOBs.- Proficient in git flow (Pull requests) and maintains the unit test coverage as well as passes the SonarQube quality gate for the code that is written.- Communicates technical and operational issues to both engineering and leadership in a timely manner.- Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems.- Regularly Provide Technical Presentations to teams and help and encourage teams to upskill to take advantage of new technology solutions for business problems.- Constantly upgrade skills to stay on top of the industry standards, best practices, and new technology solutions.RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:- Masters or Bachelors in Engineering in IT/ Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Systems.- 12+ years of strong hands-on experience and proficient with Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate, SQL, HTML, Javascript/JQuery/AngularJS, CSS, Angular/Typescripts, JSON(RestfulAPI), and DevOps implementation knowledge.- Proficient with git version control system, IDEs like Eclipse and IntelliJ, and SQL tools like SQL Developer.- Master/strong experience in building architecture & applications with security standards / HI-Trust compliant, handling vulnerabilities, static & dynamic code analysis, and Penetration testing.- Use AI tools such as Copilot, Claud Code etc; to accelerate delivery (ideation, coding, tests, documentation, research) while maintaining code quality, security, and correctness.- Good Knowledge regarding twelve-factor methodology of application development.- Strong experience in resolving Performance issues, identifying memory leaks in and across applications at different tiers.- Proficient with git flow, pull requests, and other version control related concepts.- Proficient in working with Maven build tool, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar scan, and security (like Veracode) scan.- Should be proficient with Junit, Mockito, and other Unit testing frameworks and performing code reviews as per the organization standards.- Should be hands-on in working with tables, triggers, indexes, sequences, constraints, functions, and procedures preferably in Oracle.- Should have experienced in applications developed using docker and Kubernetes, openshift.- Proficient in using JBOSS or any of the EAP/ Enterprise Application Servers.- Should be proficient in debugging applications, troubleshooting by running from the IDE as well as remote debugging.- Should have good knowledge of UX/UI design.- Should be able to estimate the effort involved in developing an Epic/feature.- Should be able to work with other Architects, guide and mentor Technical Leads & SSEs and be able to do code review, integrate the work.- Proficient to debug front end/javascript code using tools in browser.Good To Have:- Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or any other agile framework.- Exposure to business process workflow analysis such as JBPM, experience preferred.- MongoDB, Docker based development/deployments, Unix Internals.- Exposure to workflow engines such as drools.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and workloads.- Ability to work well independently and maintain focus in a highly dynamic work environment.- Comfort in working with team members that are remote and located in the US, India, or other geographies.
