Role: Technical Consultant/Senior (Data Engineer) - Client Success

Location: Bangalore, Hybrid

About the role...

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Technical Consultant Client Success to join our team. In this role, you will support o9 customers post-implementation , ensuring seamless platform operations , strong customer outcomes , and high system reliability .

You will play a critical role in managing automated batch processes, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating across Support, DevOps, Product, and Customer teams to deliver a stable and scalable solution environment. This role requires to work in rotational shifts every 2 weeks, providing 24/7 coverage. Main focus is on workflow/batch monitoring with SSIS and Python skill + Support experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Ensure timely response, recovery, and resolution of batch automation disruptions while meeting customer SLAs
• Monitor and maintain smooth operations of o9s cloud-based platform
• Work closely with DevOps and Support teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Validate, transform, and manage customer data using tools like SQL, SSIS, Excel, Apache NiFi, Hadoop, PySpark, and Hive
• Analyze customer data, understand functional/technical dependencies, and ensure data integrity
• Support CI/CD processes and improve system reliability
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics for continuous improvement
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Understand and work with o9 platform data models (tables, relationships, optimization structures)
• Fine-tune performance, automate manual processes, and implement system checks
• Create and execute integration test cases; track and resolve bugs/issues
• works in 24X7. 2 weeks rotational shift , focusing mainly on workflow/batch monitoring with SSIS and Python skill + Support exp

What youll have...

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in technical consulting, support, or similar roles
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like SSIS
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred)
• Experience with planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, e2open, Kinaxis, JDA (preferred)
• Knowledge of data processing tools like Hadoop, PySpark, Hive (preferred)
• Familiarity with statistical/optimization tools (R/Python/JavaScript) is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Ability to take ownership and work independently with minimal supervision
• Good understanding of system performance tuning and automation

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• Masters degree (preferred)

Note: This role will require working in Rotational shifts . (This will be complete remote working , but once in a while have to visit office - maybe once in every 3 months)
