Job Summary:The Cashier is responsible for handling all cash transactions related to student fees, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounts department in day-to-day financial operations within the college.Key Responsibilities:Collect tuition fees, examination fees, and other payments from students and parentsIssue receipts for all transactions and maintain proper documentationMaintain daily cash book and ensure accurate recording of all cash inflows and outflowsDeposit collected cash in the bank as per college policyAssist in fee reconciliation and reportingHandle online and digital payment tracking (UPI, bank transfers, etc.)Coordinate with the accounts team for audits and financial checksRespond to student/parent queries regarding fees and paymentsEnsure compliance with financial policies and proceduresRequired Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related fieldBasic knowledge of accounting principlesProficiency in MS Excel and accounting softwareSkills & Competencies:Strong numerical and calculation skillsAttention to detail and accuracyGood communication and interpersonal skillsIntegrity and honesty in handling cashAbility to work under pressure during admission/fee cyclesExperience:2-5 years of experience in cashiering or accounts (preferably in an educational institution)Working Conditions:Full-time roleMay require extended hours during admission periods
