Data Engineer - Snowflake, SQL & dbtExperience : 3+ YearsLocation : Mumbai / Navi MumbaiTeam : Data AnalyticsJob Description : We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and dbt, along with practical experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Python scripting, and cloud-based data warehousing. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable data pipelines, transforming data from multiple sources, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance.Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory (ADF).- Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, transform, and load data from multiple structured and semi-structured data sources.- Write complex SQL queries and optimize them to handle large datasets efficiently.- Develop, test, and maintain reusable data transformation models using dbt.- Implement incremental data loads, data transformations, and automated testing to ensure data accuracy and consistency.- Monitor Snowflake performance, identify query bottlenecks, and implement optimization techniques.- Use Python scripting to automate data processing, validation, and routine pipeline operations.- Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and resolve data integration and transformation issues.- Collaborate with analytics, business, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.- Follow data governance, security, and compliance practices while managing enterprise data.Required Skills and Qualifications : - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and SQL development.- Strong expertise in Snowflake, including data loading, transformation, and performance optimization.- Practical experience with dbt for data modeling, transformation, testing, and documentation.- Experience developing and managing pipelines using Azure Data Factory.- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data processing.- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT architectures.- Experience with complex SQL queries, query optimization, and troubleshooting.- Knowledge of data quality checks, data validation, and pipeline monitoring.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Core Skills : Snowflake, SQL, dbt, Azure Data Factory, Python (ref:hirist.tech)
