Gammastack - Technical Artist - Slot Games Design

About the Role :We are looking for a skilled Technical Artist with 3 - 4 years of experience in the casino/slot games industry. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between art and engineering, ensuring high-quality visuals are optimized for performance across multiple platforms. You will collaborate closely with artists, animators, developers, and game designers to create visually engaging slot games while maintaining technical excellence.Key Responsibilities :- Collaborate with artists and developers to integrate game assets into the game engine.- Develop and maintain efficient art pipelines and workflows.- Optimize 2D animations, particle effects, textures, and assets for performance and memory usage.- Create and maintain shaders, visual effects, and rendering solutions for slot games.- Troubleshoot and resolve art-related technical issues during development.- Ensure visual quality while maintaining target performance across desktop and mobile platforms.- Work closely with animators to integrate Spine or similar skeletal animations.- Support asset versioning, naming conventions, and production standards.- Assist in profiling and optimizing rendering performance.- Collaborate with QA to identify and resolve visual bugs.- Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.Required Skills :- 3 - 4 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry, preferably in slot/casino games.- Strong understanding of game art production pipelines.- Experience with Unity game engine.- Proficiency in Spine 2D animation integration.- Strong knowledge of shaders, materials, textures, and rendering pipelines.- Experience with VFX, particle systems, and animation optimization.- Understanding of performance profiling and memory optimization.- Experience with version control systems such as Git or Perforce.- Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other digital art tools.- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Key Competencies:- Strong technical and artistic balance.- Attention to detail.- Creative problem-solving.- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.- Ownership and accountability.- Effective teamwork and communication.
