Cloud Infrastructure & Observability Subject Matter Expert

Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure & Observability SME to support our enterprise observability program across AWS and GCP environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, monitoring, operational reporting, and cloud governance, with a strong focus on ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and security of enterprise cloud platforms.Key Responsibilities:- Lead cloud observability initiatives and AWS operational scorecards.- Design and implement monitoring standards, dashboards, KPIs, and service health metrics.- Support monitoring across AWS and GCP environments using enterprise observability tools.- Partner with ScienceLogic, Splunk, ServiceNow ITOM, Database, and BI teams to deliver end-to-end visibility.- Analyze cloud performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.- Implement automated monitoring, discovery, alerting, and operational reporting.- Drive cloud governance, best practices, and operational compliance.- Document cloud architecture, monitoring standards, and operational procedures.Required Skills & Experience:- 7+ years of cloud infrastructure and operations experience.- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience and 3+ years with GCP.- Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, VPC, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and Route 53.- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, ScienceLogic, Splunk, ServiceNow ITOM, Datadog, Dynatrace, or New Relic.- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), Docker, and Infrastructure as Code.- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, scalability, and production support.- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:- AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps certification.- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.- Experience supporting large enterprise or utility environments.
