Job Description:
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Operate and monitor EDM Spark (Die-Sinking EDM) machines for precision machining of metal components.
Perform machine setup, electrode setting, and parameter adjustments based on job requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
Prepare and align electrodes and workpieces for accurate machining.
Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Maintain proper documentation of production and machining parameters.
Identify and report machine issues, electrode wear, or quality deviations to supervisors.
Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of EDM machines and work area.
Follow safety guidelines and company manufacturing standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
Hands-on experience in EDM Spark / Die-Sinking EDM machine operation.
Ability to read technical drawings and understand machining tolerances.
Knowledge of electrode materials, tooling, and EDM machining parameters.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality standards.
Ability to work in manufacturing / tool room environments.
Educational Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Tool & Die Making / Machinist or equivalent technical qualification.
