Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Commercial / Business Banking, particularly in Mandates, Payments, and Lending. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in business analysis, stakeholder management, and requirement gathering, with exposure to UK Mortgages and strong SQL skills.Key Responsibilities:- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for commercial banking initiatives.- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams.- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate business needs into functional solutions.- Analyze and improve business processes related to mandate management, payments, and lending.- Support solution design, functional validation, UAT, and production rollouts.- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL to support business and testing activities.- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices.Required Skills:- 8-11 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Commercial / Business Banking.- Strong domain knowledge of Mandate Management, Payments (Domestic, International, Bulk Payments, Collections), and Lending.- Experience working on UK Mortgages or UK banking transformation projects.- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, BRD/FRD preparation, user stories, use cases, and process mapping.- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and reporting.- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Skills:- Experience with payment standards such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, BACS, CHAPS, or Faster Payments.- Knowledge of commercial banking platforms and digital banking solutions.- Exposure to API integrations, data migration, or banking transformation programs.- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
