Power System Engineer

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – Solar PV & Energy Storage (Remote | India) Our client is a US-based renewable energy engineering firm with a strong track record of delivering large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects across North America. The Role: We are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in solar PV systems, energy storage, and power systems analysis. You will lead complex electrical studies, design collection systems, and manage interconnection applications — working directly with US-based clients and engineering teams. This is a senior individual contributor + technical lead role, not a generalist position. We are looking for engineers with hands-on experience in grid interconnection, protection coordination, and power system simulation tools. What You'll Do Lead power systems studies: short circuit, arc flash, load flow, harmonic analysis, grounding, ampacity, and protective device coordination Design and oversee collection systems including cable routing and sizing Prepare and manage interconnection application packages (including load flow and dynamic models) Develop equipment specifications for solar PV modules, inverters, BESS, transformers, and BOS components Supervise and mentor junior engineers; act as technical lead on project portfolios Author technical reports and proposals; support client communication What We're Looking For Education B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering + minimum 5 years of post-graduation experience, OR M.E./M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering Must-Have Technical Skills Proficiency in ETAP, PSS/E, PSLF, CDEGS, CYMCAP Python programming for engineering automation Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in solar PV and/or BESS electrical engineering Minimum 2 years work
