Civil Engineer

TRS is seeking a dedicated professional to join one of the premier EPC firms in India. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of Civil Execution works across our client's solar project sites.

Position: Civil Execution Engineer - Modular Housing

1 Year renewable contract
Location: Patna, Bihar

Job Summary:


This role involves ensuring that civil engineering activities align with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. You will coordinate with various teams to facilitate successful project completion, from site preparation to final construction.



Job Objective

1. To ensure that Field QA Functions, Inspection and testing of all the packages for projects are executed as per the defined procedures in conformance with requirements of Standard Field Quality Plans, Project specific technical specifications & Drawings, Codes, Standards and Departmental SOP's.
2. Technical Proficiency in QA, Inspection and Testing of Critical foundations for Civil Engineering.
3. Technical proficiency on Pile foundation, PEB Structure and RCC Concreting Works for industrial building.
4. To ensure optimization of Field inspection and support for continual improvements.

Role Responsibilities: -

1. Have thorough knowledge of piling activity like surveying,casing alignment, depth checking etc and its related testing like density, pH value, viscosity, sand content of drilling mud.
2. Can inspect the reinforcement is as per approved BBS & drawing. Also conduct rolling margin test on site.
3. Ensure performing of inspection on concrete on Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plant. Testing of raw materials like cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate etc & moisture correction as per SFQP
4. Have good knowledge of concrete trial mix and mix design.
5. Ensure on pour site testing of concrete like slump test,temperature of concrete & have knowledge of compressive test and other NDT test related to concrete.
6. Establish and maintain procedure to maintain standard documentation for construction.
7. Ensure stagewise implementation of all SFQPs and Quality
8. Controls of building construction works at site.
9. Co-ordination with Internal and External customers for timely completion of all inspection activities at site
10. Ensue safety of self and others during the work execution at project site.
11. Receipt Inspection of materials at site & Timely Clearance for usage in Building construction works
12. Ensure timely performing of inspection and testing for building construction & erection works as per different class of inspections as per approved Quality Plans.
13. Ensure timely disposal of Non Conformity observed during inspection of construction and erection activities as per laid down procedure.
14. Timely Issuance of Field observation Memo, Daily observation points and punch list to Contractors & verify closure during Construction/Erection of Projects.
15. Determining of RCA and CAPA for NC and FOM on Monthly Basis. Implementations of Valid Solutions to eliminate repetitive Quality Issues.
16. Providing relevant Awareness trainings to Site construction team and Contractors manpower
17. Ensure Continual improvement initiatives through lesson learnt from the previous projects.
18. Ensure audits and timely Calibration of Tools and measuring instruments
19. Stores and Construction Audits.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and standards.
• Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
