DevOps Tech Lead (AI Integration & Tools)

We are looking for a Tech Lead to help design and evolve a modern cloud platform that enables development teams to build, deploy, and operate services efficiently and securely.

The role focuses on establishing platform standards, reusable infrastructure patterns, self-service capabilities, and developer experience improvements across AWS-based environments. The engineer will work closely with development, DevOps, security, and architecture teams to build scalable platform foundations, governance processes, observability solutions, and automation frameworks that support multiple engineering teams.

IT platform hosts 700+ applications.

Our teams are involved in the engineering of core platform components for best-in-class eCommerce, Digital Marketing and IoT solutions. As an Engineer, you will become a part of Core Architecture Team and be responsible for the architecture, implementation of best practices in our Digital Engineering Enterprise Platform.
The Platform is a set of services and internet applications that accelerate the development and delivery of software applications by taking care of common SDLC challenges. The Platform provides access and consumption for engineering teams to a set of services, technologies, practices for their development and for operating their application, ensuring a set of compliance and best practices.

What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise-grade platform capabilities on AWS, including reusable infrastructure modules, deployment templates, and golden paths.
• Define and implement Infrastructure as Code standards, governance, and best practices using Terraform.
• Build and evolve CI/CD architectures for containerized and serverless workloads using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and related tooling.
• Drive platform engineering initiatives focused on improving developer experience, self-service adoption, and engineering productivity.
• Develop and maintain reusable platform templates, onboarding workflows, and developer enablement assets.
• Design and operate observability solutions covering logs, metrics, traces, alerting, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to integrate scanning, governance, and policy controls into engineering workflows.
• Establish technical standards and best practices for cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and platform operations.
• Support AWS multi-account environments and platform governance initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across platform engineering initiatives.
• Evaluate and improve internal developer platforms, golden paths, service catalogs, and platform adoption processes.
• Drive continuous improvements related to reliability, security, scalability, operational excellence, and developer productivity.

What you need for this

Skills

• AWS (EKS, ECR, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, Systems Manager)

• Terraform (modules, workspaces, state management, enterprise patterns)

• CI/CD pipeline architecture (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)

• Golden path and template management (Backstage, internal developer platforms)

• Observability stack design (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, X-Ray)

• Infrastructure as Code standards and best practices

• Container orchestration and management (Kubernetes, EKS, Helm)

• DevOps best practices and platform engineering principles

• Security scanning and compliance automation (Polaris, Checkov)

• Developer experience optimization and self-service tooling

Experience

• 7+ years DevOps or platform engineering with technical leadership responsibilities

• Designed and implemented golden paths/templates for enterprise development teams

• Deep expertise in AWS multi-account architecture and landing zones

• Production-grade Terraform module design and governance at scale

• CI/CD pipeline architecture for containerized and serverless workloads

• Observability platform design including metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards

• Cross-team technical leadership and engineering standards establishment

Nice-to-have

• Internal Developer Portal experience (Backstage, Port.io, or similar)

• AWS Well-Architected Framework reviews and implementation

• Platform as a Product mindset and developer experience metrics

• GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux)

• Service mesh architecture (Istio, AWS App Mesh)

• FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices
