Senior Staff Engineer position at Stryker focused on embedded systems for medical-device platforms in Gurugram. Combines hands-on firmware development with technical leadership across architecture, design, integration, and lifecycle support of real-time embedded software systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for architecture, design, development, and integration of embedded software for medical-device systems
- Own critical technical decisions and system-level trade-offs across software, controls, FPGA, cybersecurity, and product performance
- Develop production-quality firmware in C/C++ for ARM-based microcontrollers, microprocessors, DSPs, and FPGA platforms
- Architect closed-loop control solutions including motor-control and PID algorithms with real-time determinism and safety
- Lead board bring-up, performance characterization, root-cause analysis, and complex hardware-software integration troubleshooting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 12-14 years professional software development experience with embedded-product focus
- Expert-level C and C++ programming for production-quality embedded systems
- Deep experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, RTOS, embedded Linux, and hardware-software integration
- Demonstrated ability to define software architecture and lead complex technical investigations
- Extensive hardware debugging experience using laboratory instruments and debuggers
- Strong knowledge of requirements engineering, design, verification, and product lifecycle processes
