Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: We are looking for a skilled WAS & Docker Administrator to manage, configure, deploy, and support WebSphere Application Server and Docker/containerized environments. The candidate will be responsible for application server administration, container management, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and production support.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments.
• Manage WAS profiles, clusters, nodes, deployments, JVMs, and application configurations.
• Perform application deployments, configuration changes, server restarts, and patching.
• Monitor WAS and application server performance, logs, and system health.
• Troubleshoot application, JVM, connectivity, and deployment-related issues.
• Manage Docker containers, images, volumes, and networks.
• Create and maintain Docker files and Docker images.
• Deploy and manage applications in Docker/containerized environments.
• Perform container troubleshooting, log analysis, and resource monitoring.
• Support CI/CD deployments and collaborate with DevOps and development teams.
• Automate routine administration and deployment activities using scripting.
• Implement security, backup, recovery, and configuration management practices.
• Participate in production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
• Prepare technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) administration.
• Good knowledge of WAS ND, profiles, clusters, nodes, JVMs, and deployment management.
• Experience with Docker administration and containerization.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix administration.
• Knowledge of application server troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Experience with shell scripting and automation.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, and networking concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of Git and basic DevOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar.
• Knowledge of WebSphere Liberty is an added advantage.
