Java Lead - Microservices Architecture

Role Overview:As a Java Lead, you will spearhead the design and development of high-scale enterprise applications, serving as the technical anchor for our engineering team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable software solutions. By driving technical excellence and mentoring junior developers, you will directly influence the reliability and performance of our platforms, ensuring we deliver seamless experiences to our global user base. This role is pivotal in shaping our architectural roadmap and maintaining a high-velocity engineering culture across our Pune, Bangalore, and Chennai offices.Key Responsibilities:- Architect and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to ensure high availability and performance for mission-critical business applications.- Design and maintain high-throughput event-driven systems using Kafka to facilitate real-time data processing and seamless inter-service communication.- Develop and document secure, efficient REST APIs that serve as the backbone for our client-facing applications and internal integrations.- Lead code reviews and technical design sessions to uphold rigorous engineering standards and mentor team members in best practices.- Partner with stakeholders to identify technical bottlenecks and implement innovative solutions that optimize system latency and infrastructure costs.Required Skillset:- Demonstrated expertise in building complex, distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot, with a deep understanding of microservices architecture patterns.- Proven ability to design and manage event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka for large-scale data streaming and integration.- Strong proficiency in developing and securing RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance and backward compatibility for enterprise-grade services.- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead collaborative team efforts.- Proven experience in navigating hybrid work environments, maintaining high productivity and team cohesion across distributed locations.- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 9 to 12 years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
