Mantra Softech - ISP Tuning Engineer - Image Signal Processing

Job Summary :We are looking for an experienced ISP Tuning Engineer to join our imaging team, working on Image Signal Processor (ISP) tuning for surveillance and consumer camera products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in 3A algorithms, ISP pipeline tuning, and IQ/image quality evaluation (IMA testing), with a strong understanding of camera sensor behavior across varying lighting and environmental conditions.Key Responsibilities :- Perform end-to-end ISP tuning for camera modules used in surveillance and consumer electronics products (CCTV, IP cameras, smart home/space cameras, or other vision based products etc.)- Tune and optimize 3A algorithms - Auto Exposure (AE), Auto White Balance (AWB), and Auto Focus (AF) - for varied lighting conditions (low light, backlight, WDR/HDR scenes)- Configure and fine-tune ISP blocks including noise reduction, sharpness, gamma, color correction matrix (CCM), demosaicing, defect pixel correction, LSC (Lens Shading Correction), and tone mapping- Conduct IMA-Test/Image Quality (IQ) evaluation to benchmark tuning results against industry standards and competitor products- Analyze test charts (color, resolution, noise, MTF, SNR) and lab/field test data to iteratively refine tuning parameters- Collaborate with HW, FW, and algorithm teams to solve sensor, lens, and ISP-related image quality issues- Debug and resolve image artifacts such as flicker, banding, color shift, ghosting, and noise under different scenarios (day/night, IR-cut switching, low-light)- Validate tuning across multiple sensor/ISP platforms (Sony, OmniVision, OnSemi, Ambarella, Qualcomm, etc.)- Prepare tuning documentation, test reports, and IQ evaluations summaries- Support new product development cycles from prototype to mass production tuning sign-offRequired Qualifications :- Strong expertise in 3A algorithms (AE, AWB, AF) - tuning and troubleshooting- Proficient in IMA-Test methodology and image quality benchmarking tools- Working knowledge of ISP tuning tools/platforms (e.g., vendor-specific tuning tools from Ambarella, Qualcomm, Novatek, etc.)- Understanding of camera sensor characteristics, lens behavior, and optical systems- Familiarity with test charts and IQ metrics: MTF, SNR, dynamic range, color accuracy, noise levels- Experience with WDR/HDR tuning and low-light/night-mode (IR) tuning- Basic scripting/programming knowledge (Python/MATLAB) for tuning automation and data analysis is a plus- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to visual detail- Good communication skills for cross-functional collaborationLocation :- From Gujarat Only (ref:hirist.tech)
