Senior Product Manager - SAP FICO

Role Description:

Own the strategy, roadmap, architecture, and delivery of the SAP S/4HANA Finance platform, with prima ry responsibility for Record-to-Report (RTR), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Financial Reporting. Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Engineering, and Enterprise Technology teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient solutions. Serve as a senior product and solution leader who translates business priorities into technology outcomes while advancing AI-enabled Finance capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Own the SAP Finance product vision, roadmap, backlog, prioritization, and investment recommen dations across RTR and PTP.
• Lead requirements, process design, solution architecture, and delivery for SAP S/4HANA Finance, including GL, AP, Asset Accounting, Banking, financial close, reporting, and PTP capabilities. 
• Design and support Asset Accounting processes, including asset acquisition, capitalization, transfers, retirement/disposal, depreciation, impairment, and integration with the General Ledger.
• Define current- and future-state architecture, identify portfolio gaps and overlaps, and establish scalable platform and integration strategies.
• Lead integrations between SAP and enterprise applications, including Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax, using APIs, middleware, data flows, extensions, and appropriate monitoring.
• Partner with GPOs, Finance leaders, Engineering, vendors, and implementation partners to drive delivery quality, issue resolution, governance, and operational stability.
• Lead agile delivery teams, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure effective testing, deployment, documentation, and support.
• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities such as exception management, reconcilia tions, payment operations, Finance insights, and root-cause analysis, with appropriate human review, controls, security, and auditability.
• Present roadmaps, solution options, risks, and investment proposals to executive stakeholders.
• Stay current on SAP, Finance, integration, automation, and SaaS transformation trends and champion best-in-class solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience architecting and delivering SAP Finance solutions, including 5+ years with SAP S/4HANA.
• Deep experience with SAP FI, including GL, AP, Asset Accounting, Banking, Financial Reporting, financial close, and RTR/PTP processes.
• Hands-on experience with Asset Accounting configuration and end-to-end processes, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirement, impairment, and financial integration.
• Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax integration with SAP, including tax determination, transaction data flows, tax posting, field mappings, and issue resolution.
• Experience defining enterprise architecture, business capability maps, current-to-future-state roadmaps, and integration strategies.
• Proven experience leading agile teams, managing product backlogs, partnering with business stake holders, and overseeing vendors or implementation partners.
• Strong executive communication, solution design, troubleshooting, governance, and Finance controls experience.
• Demonstrated ability to identify practical AI, automation, or data-driven opportunities that improve Finance productivity and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certification in Finance or a related SAP discipline.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable, SAP BRIM, FICA, Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), or subscription-based Finance processes.
• Experience in high-tech, SaaS, software, or Finance transformation programs.
• CPA, MBA, or equivalent Finance/accounting credential.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP, AI platforms, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic frameworks, or low-code/no-code development.
• Experience implementing responsible AI governance, human-in-the-loop controls, or AI-enabled Finance solutions
