Oracle FAH/Subledger Accounting Consultant

Role : Oracle FAH / Subledger Accounting ConsultantExperience : 7 to 10 YearsEmployment Type : Full-Time, PermanentJob Description : We are looking for an experienced Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) / Subledger Accounting (SLA) Consultant with strong expertise in designing and configuring accounting rules, integrating external source systems, and transforming transactional data into standardized accounting entries for posting to the General Ledger.The ideal candidate will have strong functional and configuration expertise in Oracle FAH/SLA, along with experience in accounting requirements gathering, rule configuration, testing, reconciliation, and period-end close activities.Key Responsibilities : - Gather and analyze accounting requirements from business, finance, and accounting stakeholders.- Design and configure Oracle Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) / Subledger Accounting (SLA) solutions.- Configure SLA components including : 1. Journal Line Types2. Account Derivation Rules3. Journal Entry Rule Sets4. Accounting Methods- Build and configure Custom Sources, Mapping Sets, and Accounting Flexfields for integration with non-Oracle source systems.- Configure FAH to receive transactions from external, legacy, and third-party systems and generate standardized accounting entries.- Perform accounting event testing, transaction upload validation, and journal generation testing.- Validate accounting entries and ensure accurate transformation and posting to the General Ledger.- Troubleshoot accounting entry mismatches and identify/correct configuration or rule-related issues.- Support period-end close activities, including subledger-to-GL reconciliation.- Work closely with finance, accounting, technical, and integration teams to resolve functional and accounting issues.- Prepare and maintain functional documentation, including : 1. Functional Design Documents2. Configuration / Setup Documents3. Test Scripts4. Test Results and Supporting Documentation- Support implementation, enhancement, testing, and production support activities related to FAH/SLA.Required Skills & Experience : - 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Oracle Financials, with strong expertise in FAH / SLA.- Hands-on experience in designing and configuring Oracle Financial Accounting Hub solutions.- Strong knowledge of Oracle Subledger Accounting (SLA) architecture and accounting rules.- Expertise in configuring : 1. Journal Line Types2. Account Derivation Rules3. Journal Entry Rule Sets4. Accounting Methods5. Custom Sources6. Mapping Sets7. Accounting Flexfields- Experience integrating external/non-Oracle source systems with Oracle FAH.- Strong understanding of accounting event processing and transformation of transactional data into accounting entries.- Experience with General Ledger integration and subledger-to-GL reconciliation.- Hands-on experience with accounting event testing, journal generation, transaction validation, and troubleshooting.- Strong understanding of period-end close and financial accounting processes.- Experience preparing functional designs, configuration documents, test scripts, and other project documentation.Preferred Candidate Profile : - Strong understanding of Oracle Financials Cloud / Oracle EBS Financials.- Ability to translate complex accounting requirements into scalable FAH/SLA configurations.- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to accounting accuracy.- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with finance, functional, technical, and integration teams.- Experience working on large-scale Oracle Financials implementation or transformation projects will be an advantage.
