Position Description: We are looking for an experienced IT Application Senior Operations Support Engineer – Wealth Management to provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise financial applications.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL, Java/J2EE applications, relational databases, REST APIs, enterprise integration, and middleware technologies. The role requires 12+ years of experience with deep expertise in enterprise application architecture, production operations, DevOps, observability practices, deployment activities, AI assisted development tools, and operational resilience.
The candidate should have experience in designing and supporting scalable, cloud based (Linux) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments, ensuring high availability, elasticity, and operational efficiency. Strong knowledge of system interoperability through robust data services, Web/REST API integration, ETL processes, and Managed File Transfer (MFT/DIS) solutions is essential to enable seamless integration across enterprise platforms.
Experience in Wealth Management and Capital Markets is mandatory to ensure the platform remains stable, performant, secure, and operationally resilient while supporting critical business functions. Responsibilities:
Application Support & Production Operations . Provide L2/L3 production support for Wealth Management and Capital Markets applications, ensuring maximum availability and compliance with SLAs.
. Take ownership of critical production incidents, make timely operational decisions under pressure, lead major incident resolution, and drive service restoration with minimal business impact.
. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during production incidents, providing clear status updates, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.
. Monitor production environments, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent fixes to improve operational stability.
. Support and troubleshoot Oracle databases, SQL/PLSQL, Java/J2EE applications, Linux servers, and enterprise middleware in production.
. Manage and support REST APIs, Web Services, ETL processes, and Managed File Transfer (MFT/DIS) to ensure reliable data integration and seamless interoperability across enterprise systems.
. Execute production deployments, release validations, change requests, and post implementation support while adhering to ITIL change management processes.
. Monitor application health using observability and monitoring tools, proactively identifying performance bottlenecks, capacity issues, and system anomalies.
. Drive operational excellence through automation, DevOps practices, AI assisted operational tools, and continuous service improvements to reduce manual effort and MTTR.
. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to resolve complex production issues while maintaining operational documentation, runbooks, disaster recovery procedures, and compliance with security, audit, and operational resilience requirements.
. Identify recurring production issues through incident trend analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce repeat incidents and improve service stability.
. Perform incident and problem trend analysis to identify systemic issues, recommend service improvements, and drive continuous operational excellence.
. Analyze complex production issues, identify potential fixes or workarounds, and collaborate with development teams to implement permanent resolutions.
