Director - Software Engineering

We are hiring a Director of Engineering for a US-based software consulting firm with offices in the USA, Mexico, and India. Our client is a decade-old software services company with more than 175 employees spread across multiple locations.Job Location : Ahmedabad (Onsite - Work from office)Skills : Node.js, Next.js, AWS, DevOps, Technical Leadership, Engineering ManagementNote : If you do not have at least 3+ years of coding experience in Node.js and AWS, please do not apply.Required Skills : - 12 to 15+ years of experience in technology delivery, with 3+ years in a senior leadership or engineering management role.- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).- Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.- Hands-on strong technical experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and AWS.- Role requires balanced focus - 50% People Management and 50% Technical Leadership.- Proven success managing distributed or global teams, ideally in a consulting or services model.- Expertise in agile delivery, project tracking, and governance frameworks.- Strong understanding of software development, cloud, or data engineering environments (preferred).- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.- Experience working directly with US-based clients and stakeholders.- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
