Software Development Engineer III - Node.js

Role Overview :As an SDE III (Backend) at our Gurgaon office, you will serve as a technical cornerstone for our engineering organization, architecting high-scale systems that power our core product offerings. You will spend your day designing robust microservices, optimizing complex database queries, and mentoring junior engineers to elevate the overall quality of our codebase. Working in close collaboration with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering leads, you will translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Key Responsibilities :- Architect and implement highly available, fault-tolerant backend services using Node.js to support rapid feature deployment and system stability.- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle, from initial system design to production deployment, ensuring that all solutions meet rigorous performance and security standards.- Optimize existing infrastructure and database schemas to reduce latency and improve throughput, directly enhancing the end-user experience.- Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid-level and junior developers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning within the team.- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, ensuring that engineering efforts remain aligned with long-term business objectives and scalability requirements.Required Skillset :- Demonstrated mastery in building and scaling distributed systems using Node.js, with a deep understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous programming.- Proven ability to design and manage complex relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and high performance under heavy load.- Strong proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, supported by a solid grasp of design patterns and data structures.- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence cross-functional decision-making.- A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing independent deep-work with active participation in team-wide architectural reviews.- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a premier institute, reflecting a strong foundation in algorithmic thinking and system design.
