Senior Engineering Manager - Payments Infrastructure

Role Overview :As a Senior Engineering Manager in Bangalore, you will spearhead the development of high-scale payment infrastructure, serving as a critical bridge between complex technical architecture and strategic business objectives. You will lead high-performing engineering teams, collaborating closely with product managers, data scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and seamless transaction experiences. By driving the end-to-end product development lifecycle, you will directly influence the scalability and reliability of our platform, ensuring that millions of users experience frictionless financial interactions while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance in the fintech ecosystem.Key Responsibilities :- Architect and scale complex payment systems to handle high-concurrency traffic, ensuring 99.99% availability for our global user base.- Mentor and grow a team of high-caliber engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous innovation.- Align technical roadmaps with product vision by collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize features that drive revenue and improve user retention.- Implement rigorous security protocols and compliance standards to protect sensitive financial data and maintain regulatory integrity.- Optimize development processes and engineering velocity by introducing best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, and system observability.Required Skillset :- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale engineering organizations through complex product development cycles, specifically within the payments or fintech domain.- Proven expertise in designing distributed systems and microservices architectures that prioritize low latency and high fault tolerance.- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and translate technical constraints into actionable business strategies.- Strong educational background in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline from a premier institute.- High adaptability to a fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Bangalore, with a track record of managing remote and on-site team dynamics effectively.- 9 - 16 years of professional experience in software engineering and technical leadership.
