Role Overview  

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst with 4+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven problem-solving. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Power BI/Tableau, along with the ability to work with complex datasets and translate business requirements into meaningful insights. This role requires strong analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to independently own analytical initiatives from requirement gathering through analysis, visualization, and presentation of recommendations.  

Key Responsibilities  

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, business opportunities, and actionable insights.  

• Own analytical projects end-to-end, including requirement gathering, data source integration, data extraction and orchestration, data transformation and preparation, analysis, dashboard development, visualization, and stakeholder presentation.  

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau.  

• Write advanced and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, analysis, and automation of recurring data workflows and reporting processes.  

• Use Python for data analysis, automation, data manipulation, and advanced analytical tasks.  

• Perform data cleaning, transformation, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.  

• Build and maintain data models to support reporting and business analytics requirements.  

• Work closely with business teams, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.  

• Present complex data insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.  

• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and manual analytical processes.  

• Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and solve complex business problems.  

• Define and establish meaningful KPIs and business metrics aligned with organizational goals, including metric definitions, calculation methodologies, and measurement frameworks, and track performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.  

• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to analytics best practices across the team  

Required Skills & Qualifications  

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field.  

Strong hands-on experience with:  

• SQL – advanced querying, joins, aggregations, and query optimization.  

• Python – data analysis and manipulation using libraries.  

• Power BI and/or Tableau – dashboard development, reporting, data visualization, and data quality checks.  

• Define and implement data quality checks, validation rules, reconciliation processes, and monitoring to ensure the reliability and accuracy of analytical datasets.  

• Strong understanding of data modeling, data cleaning, transformation, and data validation techniques.  

• Experience working with large, complex, structured, and unstructured datasets.  

• Good understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization best practices.  

• Experience defining and tracking business metrics and KPIs.  

• Ability to independently analyze business problems and recommend data-driven solutions.  

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications – Good to Have  

• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and exception management to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical datasets.  

• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT and data integration tools such as Talend, including data extraction, transformation, orchestration, and pipeline automation.  

• Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, data lineage, metadata management, and data management best practices.  

• Experience with data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and integration of data from multiple sources into analytics-ready datasets.  

• Strong knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, including trend analysis, forecasting, segmentation, predictive analytics, and defining meaningful business metrics and KPIs.  

• Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI-assisted analytics, or natural-language-to-SQL use cases is a plus.
