The Duck Creek QA Engineer Lead will be responsible for leading quality assurance activities across Duck Creek Policy implementations, integrations, automation testing, cloud migration, and release validation initiatives. The role requires strong expertise in Duck Creek testing, automation frameworks, API validation, and insurance domain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and UAT testing activities
- Validate Duck Creek Policy/Express configurations and implementations
- Perform Rating & Rules Validation and Forms Testing
- Validate complete Policy Lifecycle transactions:
- New Business
- Endorsements
- Renewals
- Cancellations
- Reinstatements
- Develop and execute Automation Test Suites for UI and API testing
- Perform REST and SOAP API Testing using Postman or similar tools
- Conduct SQL and backend database validation testing
- Support CI/CD pipeline validation and automated deployment testing
- Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Business, and Product teams
- Support cloud migration and release certification activities
- Perform defect management, root cause analysis, and release governance
- Mentor QA team members across distributed delivery teams
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Duck Creek Policy / Express Testing
- Expertise in Functional, Integration, Regression, and UAT Testing
- Experience in Product Configuration Testing and Rating Validation
- Strong Automation Testing experience using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
- API Testing experience with REST and SOAP services
- Strong SQL and Database Validation skills
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Exposure to AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
- Experience with CI/CD validation and deployment testing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Duck Creek Cloud Migration programs
- Knowledge of Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance
- Exposure to Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or qTest
- Experience working with distributed QA teams
- Immediate or early joiners preferred
