Software Test Automation Engineer

Job Description : Position : Product Development (PD) Software Test Automation (STA)Experience : 4-6 YearsLocation : Noida / PuneNotice Period : Immediate to 30 DaysJob Summary : We are looking for an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer with 4-6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automation testing, API testing, CI/CD integration, and Agile methodologies. The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks.- Develop automated test scripts for Web, API, and Database testing.- Execute regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and functional test suites.- Collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.- Participate in requirement analysis and test planning.- Integrate automated test cases with CI/CD pipelines.- Perform API automation using REST APIs.- Analyze test execution reports and share quality metrics.- Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices.- Mentor junior QA engineers when required.Required Skills : - 4-6 years of experience in Software Test Automation.- Strong knowledge of automation tools such as : 1. Selenium WebDriver2. Playwright or Cypress (preferred)3. TestNG/JUnit- Programming experience in Java or Python.- Experience in API Testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.- Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.- Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira.- Strong debugging and analytical skills.- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Skills : - Experience in performance testing using JMeter.- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.- Experience working with Microservices architecture.- Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.Qualification : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Relevant automation testing certifications are an added advantage.
