About the Role

We are seeking advanced Excel professionals with deep, hands-on experience in finance to contribute their expertise to the development and evaluation of next-generation AI systems.

This opportunity is designed for finance professionals who regularly use Excel at an advanced level to build financial models, conduct analysis, develop forecasts, and solve complex financial problems.

Your professional experience will be used to create realistic Excel-based finance tasks, develop accurate solutions, evaluate model performance, and provide expert feedback.

The strongest candidates will have experience in areas such as private equity, investment banking, hedge funds, or equity research. Professionals from accounting and FP&A backgrounds with comparable advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise are also encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

• Help identify and address knowledge gaps in AI systems working with finance and Excel-based tasks.

• Design realistic Excel assignments based on situations and workflows encountered in your professional experience.

• Develop accurate, well-structured solutions to the tasks you create.

• Review Excel tasks and proposed solutions for accuracy, quality, and financial logic.

• Provide clear written feedback to improve AI-generated work.

• Collaborate with other finance subject matter experts to maintain consistency and accuracy across project materials.

Requirements

• Advanced, professional-level Excel expertise.

• Strong experience with advanced Excel functionality, including formulas such as XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and dynamic arrays.

• Experience with PivotTables, financial modeling, dashboards, Power Query, Power Pivot, and macros/VBA.

• Professional experience applying Excel within a finance function or financial services environment.

• Experience with areas such as three-statement modeling, LBO or DCF analysis, valuation, forecasting, or comparable financial analysis.

• Demonstrated career progression within your professional field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to commit reliably to the required schedule.

• Must be based in the United States.

Experience creating evaluation rubrics or working on comparable AI training projects is also beneficial, but prior AI experience is not the primary requirement for this role.

Availability

The expected commitment is:

• 40 hours per week during weekdays through the end of September.

• 20 hours per week thereafter.

You should be able to maintain reliable availability for the required schedule.

Contract Details

• Fully remote.

• Hourly contract engagement.

• Work can be completed remotely on a flexible schedule within the required availability.

• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project requirements and performance.

• Work will not require access to confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, or institution.

• Payments are made weekly through Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.

• H-1B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported for this opportunity.

Compensation

The rate is $70–$100 per hour.

At 40 hours per week for 52 weeks, the hourly range is equivalent to approximately $145,600–$208,000 per year. Actual earnings will depend on the hours worked, project duration, and applicable engagement terms.
