Job Overview

Spandana Hospital is seeking a qualified Radiologist for a mid-level position. The role is based in Bangalore and requires a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years of work experience. As a Radiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses by examining various medical images. You will work closely with other medical professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A medical degree along with specialized training in radiology.
  • Minimum of 4 years to a maximum of 6 years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in medical imaging interpretation to identify abnormalities or diseases.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiation safety protocols, ensuring patient and staff safety during procedures.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret imaging results.
  • Experience with diagnostic radiology techniques such as MRI, CT scans, and X-rays.
  • Exceptional patient care skills to ensure a comfortable experience for all patients.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology to communicate effectively with fellow healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain quality assurance in radiology to adhere to existing standards and protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with other healthcare providers, patients, and their families.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Interpretation of medical images such as MRIs, CT scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Diagnose Fetal scans
  • Collaborate with other medical specialists to discuss imaging results and plan further treatment.
  • Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed during diagnostic procedures to protect patients and staff.
  • Provide detailed reports based on imaging results and offer recommendations for further tests or treatments.
  • Discuss imaging results and diagnoses with patients and their families, explaining in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Stay updated with advancements and best practices in radiology to provide the highest level of care.
  • Maintain accurate patient and procedural records, ensuring data security and patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the radiology department.
  • Mentor and guide junior radiology staff, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
