We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in System Integration Testing (SIT), API Validation, SQL-based data verification, and end-to-end quality assurance. This role is focused on ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of enterprise applications by validating complex business workflows, system integrations, and data flows across interconnected platforms.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software releases. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, identifying defects, validating integrations, and ensuring seamless functionality across multiple systems and applications.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and hands-on experience validating APIs, databases, and enterprise integrations in Agile delivery environments. This role requires someone who can independently manage testing activities while collaborating effectively with global teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

System Integration & Functional Testing

• Design, review, and execute comprehensive System Integration Testing (SIT) scenarios and test cases.
• Validate end-to-end business processes across multiple applications and integrated systems.
• Perform Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, and End-to-End Testing to ensure application quality.
• Participate in requirement analysis sessions, walkthroughs, and test planning activities.
• Ensure complete test coverage for business workflows, integration points, and system dependencies.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, execution results, and defects.

API & Integration Validation

• Perform API testing using Postman and other API validation tools.
• Validate REST APIs, web services, and system interfaces to ensure accurate data exchange.
• Verify JSON and XML responses against business and technical requirements.
• Test batch processes, data transfers, and integration workflows across enterprise applications.
• Identify integration issues and work closely with development teams to resolve them.

Database Testing & Data Validation

• Execute SQL queries to validate backend data and business transactions.
• Perform data reconciliation and consistency checks across multiple systems.
• Verify data integrity, accuracy, and completeness throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Support database validation activities related to integrations, batch jobs, and reporting requirements.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify discrepancies and potential issues.

Defect Management & Troubleshooting

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and collaborate with developers for timely issue resolution.
• Analyze application logs and troubleshoot execution failures.
• Support root cause analysis activities for production and testing issues.
• Validate defect fixes and ensure no impact on existing functionality.

Release & Quality Assurance Support

• Support release validation and deployment verification activities.
• Ensure testing deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA function.
• Recommend enhancements to testing processes, methodologies, and quality practices.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation and status reporting.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 4–8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, System Integration Testing, or Enterprise Application Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with System Integration Testing (SIT) and End-to-End Testing.
• Proficiency in SQL for database validation, data reconciliation, and backend testing.
• Experience performing API testing using Postman and validating REST services.
• Strong understanding of Functional Testing, Regression Testing, and Smoke Testing methodologies.
• Experience working with JSON, XML, and API response validation.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience analyzing logs, debugging issues, and supporting root cause investigations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and test management tools is an advantage.
• Experience with enterprise platforms, complex integrations, and data-intensive applications is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple testing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
