Assistant Manager - Test & Evaluation (English)

Job Specification: Managing the inflow, distribution, and evaluation of English answer copies from all branches. Overseeing the complete evaluation workflow including freelancer management, quality review, student query resolution, record keeping, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely and accurate evaluation delivery.

Job Purpose: To manage the end-to-end English answer copy evaluation process across all branches. The role encompasses inflow coordination, data management, freelance evaluator lifecycle management, quality review oversight, student query resolution, and coordination with internal teams and branches to ensure timely and accurate evaluation delivery.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

- Managing the complete workflow of English copy evaluation from inflow and distribution to final dispatch.

- Maintaining accurate records of all copies received, in-process, evaluated, dispatched, and pending (MIS / record keeping).

- Coordinating with all branches regarding copy inflow, dispatch timelines, and evaluation updates.

- Managing the freelancer evaluator pool, including testing and screening, onboarding and documentation, workload allocation, and periodic quality review.

- Dealing with students and resolving their queries related to evaluation, marks, feedback, and copy return.

- Ensuring TAT adherence and other delivery timelines across all evaluation assignments.

- Coordinating with the Logistics Team for physical dispatch and receipt of answer copies.

- Coordinating with the Test Series, Class Tests, Technical, and DTP teams for schedules, answer keys, and formatted outputs.

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

- Strong understanding of evaluation workflows and academic operations in a test-series or coaching environment.

- Proficiency in MIS tools and MS Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking and record management.

- Ability to design evaluator assessment frameworks, marking rubrics, and quality review processes.

- Experience in freelancer onboarding, management, and periodic performance evaluation.

- Strong coordination and communication skills for managing multiple stakeholders across branches.

- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and completeness.

- Ability to monitor TAT, flag bottlenecks, and escalate issues proactively.

- Problem-solving ability and ownership mindset for end-to-end process accountability.

Major KRA (SMART):

- Percentage of English answer copies evaluated within the defined TAT (turnaround time).

- Accuracy and completeness of evaluation data records and MIS reports.

- Freelancer evaluator onboarding cycle time and quality pass rate.

- Student query resolution rate within the defined SLA.

- Periodic quality review scores for freelance evaluators.

- Reduction in evaluation-related escalations from branches and students.

- Timely coordination with logistics, test series, and DTP teams with zero delivery delays.

Qualification and Experience:

Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any discipline (English / Humanities preferred).

Preferred / Additional Qualification:

- Post-Graduation (MA English, MA Education, or equivalent) is preferred.

- Certification or training in HR or academic operations is an added advantage.

Minimum Experience:

- 2–4 years of experience in academic operations, evaluation coordination, or a related administrative role.

- Prior exposure to UPSC or State PCS test series or coaching institute operations is preferred.
