About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations during the night shift from our Coimbatore office. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the staffing, recruitment, or outsourcing industry, with strong expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), GST & VAT compliance, and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Xero.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP)

• Manage the complete Accounts Receivable process, including invoice generation, billing, collections, and aging reports.
• Handle staffing-specific billing processes, including client timesheets, contractor pay rates, and billing cycles.
• Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including vendor invoice verification, approval workflows, expense coding, and payment processing.
• Ensure timely payments and accurate financial records.

Bank Reconciliation & Financial Operations

• Perform daily and monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) across multiple bank accounts and currencies.
• Reconcile merchant accounts, credit card statements, and inter-company transactions.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the integrity of the General Ledger.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.

GST, VAT & Statutory Tax Compliance

• Coordinate and prepare documentation for monthly and quarterly GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
• Support international VAT return preparation and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and international tax regulations.
• Liaise with external Chartered Accountants, tax consultants, and auditors during statutory audits.

Accounting Software & Financial Systems

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records using QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) and Xero.
• Import and reconcile payroll, time-tracking, and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) data into accounting software.
• Generate financial reports and support management with accurate financial information.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (B.Com/M.Com preferred).
• 2–3 years of core accounting experience.
• Prior experience in the Staffing, Recruitment, or Outsourcing industry is mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) and Xero.
• Excellent understanding of:
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)
• General Ledger Accounting
• GST and VAT Compliance
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must be willing to work full-time in the Night Shift from our Coimbatore office.

Preferred Skills

• Experience handling multi-country accounting operations.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting and contractor billing.
• Familiarity with staffing and recruitment financial processes.
• Experience working with ERP or ATS integrations.
