Role: Sr. Manager – Direct Taxation
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager – Direct Taxation to manage and oversee Corporate Taxation and Transfer Pricing matters. The role will be responsible for tax compliance, advisory, planning, audits, assessments, and transfer pricing activities while ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage corporate direct tax compliance , including tax computation, returns, advance tax, and related filings.
- Handle income tax assessments, audits, notices, appeals, and litigation in coordination with external tax advisors.
- Manage Transfer Pricing compliance , including documentation, benchmarking, TP studies, and regulatory filings.
- Review and support inter-company transactions from direct tax and transfer pricing perspectives.
- Provide tax advisory on business transactions, restructuring, contracts, investments, and cross-border transactions .
- Develop and implement tax planning and optimization strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Monitor changes in Income Tax Act, Transfer Pricing regulations, Finance Acts, CBDT notifications, and relevant international tax developments .
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Business, and external consultants on tax-related matters.
- Review tax positions, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support internal and statutory audits and ensure timely resolution of tax-related queries.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities, consultants, auditors, and other stakeholders .
- Lead and mentor junior tax professionals and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience
- CA qualification is mandatory.
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience in Direct Taxation.
- Strong experience in Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing .
- Hands-on experience in tax assessments, audits, notices, and litigation .
- Good understanding of Indian Income Tax laws and Transfer Pricing regulations .
- Experience with international taxation and cross-border transactions will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple tax matters and work with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in a corporate tax function, Big 4, tax consulting, or large organization preferred.
