Role Overview:The Professor of Computer Science will be responsible for delivering high-qualityteaching, conducting impactful research, and contributing to academic leadership withinthe department. The role involves mentoring students, developing curriculum, andsupporting institutional growth through research and industry collaboration.Key Responsibilities:1. Teaching & Academic Delivery Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and relatedareas Develop and update course materials aligned with current academic and industrystandards Adopt innovative and technology-driven teaching methodologies2. Research & Publications Conduct advanced research in areas such as AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, etc. Publish in peer-reviewed/UGC-CARE/Scopus-indexed journals Secure research funding and undertake sponsored projects3. Student Mentorship Guide undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. scholars Supervise dissertations, thesis work, and research projects
4. Academic Administration Contribute to curriculum design, accreditation (NAAC/NBA), and institutionaldevelopment Undertake leadership roles such as HoD / Program Chair (if required)5. Industry & Research Collaboration Build strong industry-academia partnerships Organize FDPs, workshops, seminars, and conferences6. Qualifications (As per UGC Norms): Bachelors Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science / Information Technology/ relevant discipline with First Class or equivalent Masters Degree (M.E./M.Tech / M.Sc.) in Computer Science / InformationTechnology / relevant discipline Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / relevant disciplinefrom a recognized university7. Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience At least 3 years at the level of Associate Professor8. Research Requirements: Minimum 10 publications in peer-reviewed / UGC-CARE listed journals Research Score of 120 as per UGC Regulations (API system)Required Skills: Strong academic and research background Excellent communication and teaching skills Leadership and team management capabilities Ability to mentor and guide research scholars
