*Responsibilities:* 

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose various ocular diseases and conditions. 

- Perform Phacoemulsification (Phaco) cataract surgeries with high accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. 

- Provide expert care for patients with refractive errors, including prescribing corrective lenses and recommending refractive surgical options. 

- Utilize advanced diagnostic and imaging technologies (e.g., OCT, Slit Lamp, Tonometry) for accurate assessment and monitoring. 

- Develop individualized treatment plans and follow-up strategies for patients across all age groups. 

- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. 

- Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. 

- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education programs. 

- Engage in patient education to promote eye health awareness and preventive care practices. 

- Support hospital outreach programs and community eye health initiatives when required.

*Requirements:* 

- MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (MD/MS in Ophthalmology) from a recognized institution. 

- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital or specialized eye care setting. 

- Proven experience in performing Phacoemulsification (Phaco) cataract surgeries with a strong track record of successful outcomes. 

- Expertise in diagnosing and managing refractive errors, including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. 

- Proficiency in using modern ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment. 

- Strong understanding of current best practices in cataract and refractive surgery, including intraocular lens (IOL) selection and implantation. 

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with patients and families. 

- Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development. 

- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and relevant state medical councils. 

- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
