Senior DevOps Engineer / Consultant Modern DevOps PracticeLocation : Hyderabad / Bangalore (Preference for candidates aligned to U.S. or India time zones)Overview :InfoMagnus is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer / Consultant to join our Modern DevOps Practice. In this role, you will help enterprise customers transform their software delivery by designing, implementing, and optimizing modern DevOps solutions built on GitHub Enterprise and cloud-native technologies.As a technical leader, you will work closely with customer engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders to modernize development workflows, improve developer productivity, and accelerate software delivery. You will also mentor team members, contribute to reusable solutions, and play a key role in expanding our DevOps practice.About the Practice :Our Modern DevOps practice helps organizations improve software development through DevOps transformation, automation, cloud platforms, and GitHub Enterprise. We help customers increase the speed, quality, and reliability of software delivery while aligning engineering practices with business objectives.Working closely with GitHub, Microsoft, AWS, and other strategic partners, we deliver consulting, implementation, migration, training, and managed services to global enterprise customers.Key Responsibilities :- Serve as the primary technical advisor and trusted partner for enterprise customers.- Design and implement modern DevOps solutions using GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and cloud-native technologies.- Lead customer engagements from discovery and solution design through implementation and ongoing optimization.- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other enterprise DevOps platforms.- Guide customers through GitHub Enterprise adoption, migrations, workflow modernization, and developer enablement.- Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.- Develop automation scripts, reusable GitHub Actions, CLI tools, and DevOps accelerators.- Deliver workshops, technical training sessions, architecture reviews, and best practice guidance.- Collaborate with GitHub, Microsoft, and internal engineering teams to solve complex customer challenges.- Mentor junior consultants and promote knowledge sharing through technical sessions, hackathons, and internal training.- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation across customer environments.- Support pre-sales activities by contributing technical expertise, demonstrations, and solution recommendations.Required Skills & Experience :- 6 - 9 years of experience in Software Development, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Technical Consulting.- Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and Git workflows.- Experience with at least one enterprise DevOps platform such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Atlassian toolchain.- Strong programming or scripting experience using Python, Bash, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Ruby.- Experience with one or more programming languages such as .NET, Java, Python, or Rust.- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation best practices.- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Chef.- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Lean, and modern software delivery methodologies.- Experience with project management tools including Jira, Azure Boards, Trello, or similar platforms.- Understanding of DevSecOps concepts, including secrets scanning, dependency management, and secure software supply chain practices.- Experience with identity and authentication technologies including LDAP, Active Directory, and SAML-based Single Sign-On.- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing consulting skills.- Passion for developer productivity, automation, and continuous improvement.Preferred Qualifications :- Experience delivering technical training, coaching, or mentoring.- Experience migrating source control systems such as SVN, Bitbucket, CVS, ClearCase, or AccuRev to GitHub.- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Value Stream Management practices.- Experience creating technical documentation, webinars, workshops, or recorded training content.- Understanding of networking, infrastructure, and virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere and ESXi.- Experience working with enterprise customers on large-scale DevOps transformation initiatives.- Previous consulting or professional services experience is highly desirable.Preferred Certifications :- GitHub Certifications- Microsoft Azure Certifications- AWS Certifications- Kubernetes Certifications- Terraform Associate Certification- Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), AWS Authorized Instructor, or equivalent technical trainer certifications.Why Join InfoMagnus?- Work with global enterprise customers on modern DevOps transformation initiatives.- Collaborate with strategic partners including GitHub, Microsoft, and AWS.- Solve complex engineering challenges using modern cloud and DevOps technologies.- Build reusable solutions and accelerators that influence multiple customer engagements.- Mentor talented engineers and contribute to a growing, high-performing consulting practice.- Enjoy continuous learning, certification support, and a clearly defined career growth path.
