About the job

This is a full-time, on-site 'General Dentist' role based at The Toothouse Multispeciality Dental Clinic in Chennai. The general dentist will perform routine examinations, diagnose oral health conditions, and provide treatments such as fillings, extractions, and preventive procedures.

Key responsibilities:

1. Educating patients on oral hygiene, discussing treatment options, and maintaining accurate, detailed clinical records.
2. Collaborating with dental specialists and support staff, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and participating in case discussions and continuous professional development.
3. Delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, managing appointment schedules efficiently, and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Other requirements

1. Clinical dentistry skills, including diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, and basic endodontic and periodontal care.

2. Proficiency in patient communication, including explaining procedures, obtaining informed consent, and providing clear post-treatment instructions.

3. Strong adherence to infection control, sterilization standards, and overall clinical safety protocols.

4. Ability to work collaboratively in a multispecialty environment with dental specialists, hygienists, and support staff.

5. Sound clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple cases efficiently.

6. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution; valid dental license/registration as required by local regulations.

7. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred; recent graduates with strong clinical training may also be considered.

8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and openness to learning new techniques and technologies.

9. Ethical practice, reliability, and a patient-centric approach to care.

10. Must be willing to learn meticulous documentation procedures.

Salary

Probation:

Duration: 6 months

Salary during probation: ₹10,000 /month (only for freshers)

After probation:

Annual CTC: ₹ 2,00,000 /year

Annual CTC breakup:

1. Fixed pay: ₹ 1,20,000 /year

2. Variable pay: ₹ 80,000 /year
