About the job
Work closely with the founder to develop new designs and collections for women's fashion.
Research current fashion trends, silhouettes, colours, prints, fabrics, and details.
Identify upcoming Gen-Z and global fashion trends and translate them into commercially viable designs.
Create new concepts for dresses, tops, skirts, co-ord sets, and other women's apparel.
Develop design ideas, sketches, mood boards, and colour/print directions.
Work on fabric, trims, embellishments, embroidery, and other design details.
Create and modify designs based on feedback and production feasibility.
Coordinate with sampling and production teams to ensure designs are executed accurately.
Review samples and suggest improvements in fit, construction, styling, and finishing.
Assist in developing new prints, colour combinations, and design variations.
Keep track of competitor brands and international fashion trends.
Help create fresh and commercially strong designs while maintaining De Novoo's brand aesthetic.
Assist with product photography, styling, and creating behind-the-scenes content using an iPhone when required.
Skills Required
Strong fashion and design sense.
Good understanding of women's western wear.
Excellent knowledge of current fashion and Gen-Z trends.
Strong understanding of silhouettes, fabrics, colours, prints, and garment construction.
Good sketching and fashion illustration skills.
Creative thinking with the ability to develop fresh design concepts.
Knowledge of fashion design software such as Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW is a plus.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced fashion environment.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is highly creative, fashion-forward, trend-conscious, and obsessed with details. You should have a strong understanding of what young women want to wear and be able to turn fashion inspiration into fresh, commercially viable designs.
