Senior Manager, Solar Cell Process

You will collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, and R&D teams to implement advanced process technologies, optimize equipment utilization, and reduce cost per watt while maintaining the high efficiency of our 525‑635 Wp product range. The position reports to the Vice President of Operations and provides mentorship to a multidisciplinary team of process engineers, technicians, and quality specialists, fostering a culture of precision, safety, and innovative problem solving. • Lead the full lifecycle of solar cell manufacturing processes, from pilot development through high‑volume production, ensuring alignment with performance, cost, and reliability targets.
• Drive yield improvement initiatives that increase cell efficiency by at least 2 % annually while maintaining 99.9 % equipment uptime.
• Implement and oversee rigorous quality control protocols, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions to achieve zero‑defect standards for critical process steps.
• Manage cross‑functional projects with engineering, supply chain, and R&D to introduce new materials, equipment upgrades, and automation solutions that reduce cost per watt by up to 10 %.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing team of process engineers and technicians, establishing clear KPIs, performance reviews, and continuous learning programs.
• Oversee compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations, conducting regular audits and ensuring all operations meet ISO 9001 and IEC standards.
• Prepare detailed operational reports and forecasts for senior leadership, highlighting process performance, risk mitigation, and investment needs.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable yield improvements and cost reductions in high‑volume photovoltaic production.
• Deep technical knowledge of wafer processing, diffusion, texturing, metallization, and passivation techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical process control, DOE, and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent leadership and people‑development abilities, demonstrated by building and guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IEC 61215, and safety standards applicable to solar manufacturing.
